Album Review – Jermaine Morgan – The Journey Continues
Jermaine Morgan’s newest release, The Journey Continues is a soulful, uplifting album that delivers healthy doses of gospel, christian and jazz. Morgan’s singing, articulate bass tone is a treat for the aural senses. The first track “Groove Man” seems to set the pace, and man does it groove! Followed by his previously released single “Journey”, the groove never stops straight through to the last track “I Said To Myself”. Of particular note is the excellent use of percussion to accent each track.
In an industry that seems to be becoming more and more single driven, it is refreshing to hear an album that is consistent and fluid throughout. Each track flows effortlessly into the next, highlighting Morgan’s abilities at every turn and leaving the listener wanting more. You can’t help but feel good when listening to this album. 9/10
